Our Business
Local-Buy Ltd is a pioneer in centralized distribution and wholesale of fruits and vegetables in Malawi. The Company started its trading in 2012 whereby supplies were organized directly from farms to leading retailers in Malawi. The Company has now invested in set-up of Market Distribution Centre (MDC) in order to guarantee volumes and consistent supply of safe and high quality vegetables to customers. The MDC partners with certified farms, companies and farmers who grow and supply fruits and vegetables under strict cultivation contract. The MDC also partners with a network of independent retailer distributors with a strong influence and have trust of customers within their business territories.
Our Value Proposition
Efficiency: Because we deal with bulk tonnage of commodities, we have the logistical flexibility and opportunity to leverage efficiencies in the supply chain.
Risk Management: We work closely with investors and commercial banks to offer a range of financial and hedging products to the products and services offered.
Location: Our suppliers have own packing houses and factories close to the cultivation area, so we can easily monitor and procure the commodities.
Quality Control: Our suppliers procure the material directly from the farmers only after inspected by our quality control department.
